Multi-terrain Select

This revolutionary system lets you select, with the multi-information switch mounted on the steering wheel, four types of running mode to obtain optimal traction according to off-road surface conditions. When you select one of the four modes, the system gives you easy guidance to match the mode and current driving conditions. So you get outstanding off-road capability over a wide range of terrains.

Crawl Control

Crawl Control automatically regulates engine output and braking force, maintaining a low vehicle speed on difficult terrain (sensitive control at 5 speed levels). Even on rocky or muddy surfaces requiring slight speed adjustment, Crawl controls all wheels independently, minimizing wheel-lock and -spin, and assisting in extricating the vehicle when it gets stuck. By taking over accelerator and brake operations, the system leaves you free to concentrate on steering alone.

Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System

Electronically controlled KDSS simultaneously achieves two previously incompatible benefits: a comfortable on-road ride and outstanding off-road drivability. The system harnesses the effectiveness of front and rear stabilizers to bolster roll stiffness on the road, while assuring ample wheel stroke by reducing the effectiveness of the stabilizers off-road. This realizes greater vehicle stability wherever you go.

Adaptive front – lighting System 

AFS effectively illuminates the road ahead by aiming the headlamps to the left or right in response to steering angle and vehicle speed. Together with auto leveling and the use of powerful HID lamps that offer excellent coverage, it helps improve nighttime visibility.

Hill-start Assist Control

HAC contributes to smooth hill starts by automatically applying brake pressure to help hold the vehicle whenever rollback is detected.

Downhill Assist Control

DAC enables the vehicle to stably and steadily descend even steep hills by automatically applying brake pressure.
