Multi-terrain Anti-lock
Brake System |

 |
|
Multi-terrain Anti-lock Brake System with
Electronic Brake-force Distribution
Multi-terrain ABS uses new control logic that instantly
detects off-road driving conditions such as sand and
dirt, automatically switching to the optimum ABS for the
surface conditions. With normal ABS activated in on-road
driving, EBD ensures balanced braking regardless of
occupant/passenger load |
|
|
Vehicle Stability Control |
|
 |
|
This system maintains vehicle stability
by manipulating drive force and braking influence on the
individual wheels.
VSC
helps maintain a zone of comfortable
control during cornering by reducing excessive side
slippage of the tires. If a wheel loses traction when
starting off or accelerating on slippery surfaces, A-TRC
exerts brake control on the affected wheel and
distributes drive force to the wheels that have
traction.

|
|
Brake Assist |
|
Brake Assist determines an emergency
braking situation from the brake pedal operation speed
and amount of travel, and assists with a powerful
braking force. This feature assures you of ample braking
force in all driving conditions |
|
|
SRS Knee Airbag |
|
In a vehicle collision, the SRS knee
airbag deploys immediately between the lower panel and
knees, arresting forward motion of the driver due to
crash momentum and bolstering protection by distributing
and cushioning impact on the knees. This contributes to
safety when an accident occurs.

Active Headrest |
|

|
|
In the event of rear-end collisions,
seats with Active Headrests contribute to reduction of
neck impact by moving the headrest diagonally upwards
cushioning both the head and back at the same time.

Crash Safety |
|
 |
|
An energy – absorbing body structure
contributes to higher level of crash safety performance
by effectively absorbing impact energy from the front
side or rear. |
